1. Champak Banerjee
Champak Banerjee, is an Indian director, photographer, and writer. He was a young theatrical activist in the city. He has been in popular serials such as Nukkad, Uddan, LifeLine, and Bharat Ek Khoj, and has just launched his own production firm in Mumbai. Banerjee has also collaborated with famous filmmaker Shyam Benegal in the film ‘Antarnaad’ alongside veteran performers Shabana Azmi and Om Puri, as well as actors Jeetendra, Jaya Prada, Kader Khan, and Gulshan Grover in the commercial film Sapno Ka Mandir. In 2011, he was awarded the Dada Saheb Phalke Janmabhoomi Award at the Nashik International Film Festival for his film Shrishti-Chakra, which deals with the topic of global warming.
