Ravi Sharma, aka Ravi Sarma, is an actor who works mainly in Assamese movies. He was born on 19th September 1979 in Gauripur, Assam. Ravi’s mother, Bandana Sarma, is an actress. Ravi did his schooling at DAV School and Faculty High School. He did his higher secondary at Cotton College. Ravi did his graduation from Arya Vidyapeeth College. He debuted in the film industry with the movie Hiya Diya Niya directed by Munin Barua. The film was released in 2000 and was a hit. In 2001, he played in the film Anya Ek Jatra directed by Manju Borah. In the same year, he joined his debut film director Munin Barua again for the film Nayak. In 2002, Suman Haripriya directed a film Kokadeutar Gharjonwai with Ravi in an important role. He played in Mon, directed by Bani Das, and Iman Morom Kiyo Lage, directed by Aloknath in 2002.
