Plot

The film’s protagonist is Kumar, played by Santhanam, who is in love with Kajal, played by Shanaya. Kajal’s father, played by Saurabh Shukla is a wealthy loan shark and does not want his daughter to marry a middle-class man. So, he hires a criminal, played by Rajendran to murder Kumar. For this he invites Kumar and his family to a remote mansion on the pretext of marriage. None of them know that the mansion is actually haunted. The film follows the stay of Kumar in the haunted mansion. The film is full of humor because Kumar believes that the ghosts are not real and are just a ploy to scare him.

Star Performance

Rajendran gives an impactful comedic performance. His characters silliness would make viewers laugh out loud. Santhanam also gives a good performance.

Analysis

“Dammunte Sommera” focuses more on comedy than horror. Even scenes involving the ghost are overpowered by comedic elements. It is a good comedy film with no boisterous scenes and twists.
