Tenali Shakuntala is a Telugu actress. She was known for playing comedic and villainous roles in Tollywood. She also acted on television and in Tamil movies. She is fluent in speaking Telangana and Rayalaseema. Tenali Shakuntala belongs to a Maharashtrian family. Her father was an army officer, and her mother was the lady of the house.
She debuted in a play at Ravindra Bharati. In 1979, she started her film career with the Telugu film Maabhoomi. Bhoomii Shakuntala was awarded as best actress at the Nandi Awards in 1980.
She died a tragic death from cardiac arrest. She was very popular for her role in the movie Ganesh in 1998. She has also acted in movies like Gulabi, Indra, Dhool, Vishnu, Sambu, and many more.
