Suresh Ramanthali started his career in Indian cinema at the turn of the century. He has been contributing to the Malayalam film industry as a song lyricist and a supporting actor. His numerous songs have found their place in several distinguished Malayalam movies. His work made a debut in Jayakumar Nair’s film, ‘ManassilOruManjuthulli(2000).’
He wrote several pieces of music for this movie and in the process, collaborated with many prominent artists of the period like Yesudas and Bombay Ravi. His next set of work featured in the 2018 movie, ‘Bonsai.’ This film also saw him take the part of a supporting actor and play the role of Chandran Mashu. In 2019, he wrote several pieces for the movie ‘Kosraakkollikal.’
Selected works by Suresh Ramanthali have been a part of the unique poetry compilation, ‘Kavyavasantham’ by C K RajuMadayi. This collection has been recognized by the India Book of Records for its originality and its strong stance on the current political and social environment.
