Binu Adimali is a Malayali comedian and actor. He is most famous for his hilarious stand-up routines on popular comedy shows such as Vodafone Comedy Stars, Kerala Cafe on Kairali TV, and Comedy Festival. Hailing from the town of Adimali in the Idukki district of northern Kerala, he joined the renowned mimicry troupe Kalabhavan. In an interview in the Laughing Villa program which airs on Kairali TV, Adimali said he was inspired to enter the performing arts when renowned filmmaker-cum-actor Balachandra Menon visited his town of Adimali. Then a 15-year-old boy, Adimali found autographed papers for distribution and was awed by the signature of the famous actor. He decided on the spot that one day his signature would be worth something.
By 2012, Adimali had acted in 6 feature films. However, as a member of the famed Kalabhavan mimicry troupe, his heart remained with skit comedies, tickling the funny bone of Malayalis with his weekly appearance on Vodafone Comedy Stars. His unique smile is especially memorable. In 2013 his team, Team Chirrikuduka (named after a famous children’s magazine) competed for the top prize in the annual Vodafone Comedy Stars competition but lost it to another team. In the same year, he acted in Jayaraj’s Camel Safari, which was filmed in Rajasthan. Released on September 26, 2013, Binu Adimali’s character, as usual, provided comic relief.
He also acted in Pedithondan (The Coward) with fellow comedian
