Gerard Xavier Marcel Depardieu is a French millionaire, Actor, and Director, who was also recently been granted the Russian Citizenship by Vladimir Putin himself as he wished to escape the high French taxes. Gerard Depardieu was born on 27 December 1948 in Châteauroux, Indre, France to parents Anne Jeanne Josèphe and René Maxime Lionel Depardieu, His father worked as a fireman and a blacksmith. Depardieu was a school dropout who later became a robber, male prostitute and a ghoul (grave robber). His story is an apt rag to riches one. After learning to dance and working as a theater artist, Depardieu got his first breakthrough in 1976 when he was offered a role in Robert De Niro’s epic movie “1900”. His next movie “The Last Metro” won him his first Caesar Award. In the year 1990, Depardieu starred in the movie “Green Card” where he played the role of a Frenchman desperate for American citizenship.
