David Andrews was born on November 2, 1952, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He did his undergraduate at Louisiana State University before going on to study law and graduate at Stanford Law School. He graduated in the late 1970’s. After becoming a club member at the California bar and practicing law for a very short time, he decided to leave the legal profession for an acting career. He was married to Shannon Williams Andrews and they have a child. He is a popular American actor and was very well known for his role as Lieutenant General Robert Brewster in the famous movie Terminator 3.
Now a thirty-year industry veteran, he did an important character in the movie named Nightmare on the Elm Street, which was a horror flick from the year 1984. For the rest of 80’s, Andrews did not have any noticeable hits. He went on mainly focusing on his TV career including the BBC detective series Pulaski in 1987. He even got nominated for ACE award for this detective series. He played the lead in the movie Cherry 2000 which appeared only on video cassettes and not in the theaters.
He worked in the Stephen King’s Graveyard Shift, in 1990, which was based on a short story and in 1994 he starred in Kevin Costner’s Wyatt Earp, a western film directed by Lawrence Kasdan Lawrence Kasdan is a name behind the famous film s >> Read More... . His career was enhanced by starring in the well-known TV series Mann & Machine. In 1995 he played as an astronaut in a space drama Apollo 13. In the late 1990’s Andrews concentrated more on projects based on television and worked in various telefilms like Our Son, the Matchmaker, Fifteen And Pregnant and in the blockbuster hit telefilm Switched at Birth.
He even worked on the mini-series named From the Earth to the Moon which aired on HBO. He played a length character of a commander in the miniseries Band f Brothers. In 2002, he appeared in the movie A Walk ToRemember, a romantic movie directed by Adam Shamkman and he starred in the film Two Soldiers in the year 2003, then Terminator 3 and The Chester Story. He also replaced John M.Jackson in the last season of JAG. He did the telefilm named The Jensen Project in which he played the role of Edwin Jensen. David recently finished writing his second feature film script, Bushido an adventure tale of self-discovery that has been set in Japan. It is all about the chaos and disturbances of the final days of World War 2. He is now leading a happy life in North California with his family and two dogs.
