Maya Ali is a Pakistani actress, model and a video jockey. Her original name was Maryam Tanveer Ali, born on July 27th 1989 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. She currently resides in Karachi, Pakistan. She pursued her Master’s in mass communication course from Queen Mary College. The attractive Pakistani diva appeared in many TV serials and a few movies too which were originated in Pakistan. 

She started out her career as a video Jockey and later went ahead to be a model. She was a video Jockey at SAMAA TV and Dunya TV, which are leading Pakistani news channels. She reached public through video jockeying that helped her in attracting audiences when she became a model. She was first offered a supporting role in the TV serial “Durr-e-Shahwar” that aired on HUM TV. Later she was praised for her role in “Aik Nayee Cinderella” that aired on Geo TV. Her first role as the main lead was in the serial “Aun Zara” that aired on A-plus entertainment. 

She has a huge fan club and an official Facebook fan page with over 2 million likes. 

She has starred in various other TV serials like Khoya Khoya Chand, Meri Zindagi Hain Tu, Ranjish Hi Sahi, and Ladoon Mai Pali that aired on national Pakistani channels. She currently stars in a show called “Shanakht” that airs on HUM TV.

Kiran Haq is an actress in the Pakistan Television industry. She was born on 26 October 1988 in Lahore, Pakistan. She studied till her graduation and then became a fashion model. Prior to ‘Putli Ghar’, she was also offered a role in ‘Shaam Say Pahle’ of Mehreen but it did not work out as Nadia was busy with ‘Jaanay Anjaanay’, Nadia anchored ‘Dunya News’ ‘Jago Duniya’. She rose to fame due to her roles in ‘Beauty Parlour’ and ‘Raat Chali Hai Jhoom Ke’. She believes, “At every step ahead there is something to learn”, therefore instead of holding on the bygone period of life she looks forward to discover the new things that come ahead. In a recent interview she expressed her aspiration of making a film and teaching drama. She never strives to be perfect hence she is not afraid of revealing her Achilles’ heels. She has also dived into the AIDS awareness campaign with Salman Ahmed and also made an appearance in the video ‘Alvida’. Directory and writing incurs satisfactory feelings in her. According to her, though ‘Putli Ghar’ will always remain close to her heart being her first performance in Pakistani TV and she had the opportunity of working with Sano and Sajid Bhai but ‘Mere Paas Paas’, ‘Zindagi Badalti Hay’ and ‘Kaali Salwar’ are also important for her.In her recent interview she expressed her love and addiction with Indian Cinema and Bollywood stars. Although she is not interested in Indian soaps. She also mentioned that she is a huge fan of all the genres slapstick, horror, romance that Bollywood has churned out.

Sanam Baloch is a Pakistani television host, actress and telefilm actor. She has appeared in several noted Pakistani television programs. She is best known for her roles in the television programs such as ‘Dastaan’ (2010), ‘Daam’ (2010), ‘Kankar’ (2013) & talk shows such as ‘Morning with Hum’ & ‘Subha Saveray Samaa Ke Saath’. She is a Karachi girl, who has done all her schooling from Pakistan.

It is quite remarkable to notice that many of the actresses in the sub-continent today, whether from India or Pakistan, come from quite contrary backgrounds, most of them having either qualified for professional courses, or even having started a career in the very same field. How far this helps in their subsequent acting careers is yet to be assessed, but it can be safely presumed that it must be adding a few notches to their maturity levels, and this must be directly or indirectly showing in their acting.

Though not that young, one such name from Pakistan that immediately comes to mind is that of Samina Peerzada, who instead of pursuing a career in commerce, in which she had graduated, chose to opt for an acting career, and besides making a name for herself in several notable Pakistani dramas, went to become a producer and director too, having got married to fellow entertainment world personality, Usmaan Peerzada.

While technically her acting career started in 1980 with a child role in a British production “The Blood of Hussein”, her regular acting stint commenced, as it normally does in Pakistan, through her roles in Television dramas, 3 years later. This allowed her to gain name and fame as an accomplished actress. She liked this genre and was also liked by her fans in TV dramas, with over 40 appearances against her name, spanning across 31 years and all major TV channels. Her most notable dramas were “Ishq ke Inteha”;  “Meri Zaat” and “Zindagi Gulzaar Hai”.

Her appearances in mainstream films as well as the lighter genre of TV serials has not been as voluminous as that in TV dramas, exposing perhaps her liking for the medium of drama. Rather, she was keener to try out her hand in film direction, starting off with “Intehaan” in 1999, on a theme dealing with the controversial social issue of marital rape. Even in Pakistan’s conservative environment, the film was critically acclaimed. However, after 4 films in some of which she acted also, she settled back to her favorite genre of TV dramas, where she is making her presence even now.

Born on 9th August 1955 in Lahore, Pakistan, Samina Butt is a Pakistani actress who has worked in many dramas, films, and telefilms. She has also shown a keen knack for direction in the past years. She graduated from the Karachi Government College of Commerce and Economics. She is married to Usman Peerzada, a well-known actor in the industry, and has two daughters, Anum and Amal Peerzada. She changed her name from Samina Butt to Samina Peerzada after marrying the actor. Samina made her film debut in 1980, playing Lisa in the film The Blood of Hussain. She has worked in many films over the years like Shaadi Mere Shohar ki ( 1986), Mukhra (1988), Bazar-e-Husn (1988), Bulandi (1990), Nazdeekiyan (1991), Pabandi (1992), Khwahish (1993), Zar Gul (1997), and The Valley (2017). She has also performed in theatrical productions, most notable of which are Raaz-o-Niaz and A Doll House.

Actor-cum-writer, Ahmed moved away from the conventional method of writings, which was praised by the common public and critics. He used real humor without exaggeration, highlighting serious social issues in his writings.

Qavi Khan aka Mohammad Qavi Khan is a Pakistani movies and TV star, a radio artist and director as well. He was born on 13 Nov, 1932 in Lahore, Pakistan. Mikaal Zulfiqar is a British Pakistani model and actor. He is the heartthrob of Pakistan. He is a model turned actor.He was born in London, England. His father was a Pakistani, and his mother was a Britisher. He started his career in the year 2001 as a model in the Pakistan industry. He started appearing in television commercials. He did many commercials, one of which included a leading tea company. After television commercials, he appeared in a music video Sanu Tere Naal Pyar Ho Gaya by Abrar-ul-Haq in the year 200, which was a hit in Pakistan. He walked the ramp for many well-known designers and did photo shoots for big brands. He got engaged to a Pakistani actress, Zara Sheikh. Their engagement broke for no reasons revealed.
