Qaisra Hayat, also known as Qaisra Gulnaz is a highly revered Pakistani novelist and writer. Hayat was born on 15th May 1980 in Sialkot, Pakistan. She grew up with her eight siblings two brothers and six sisters. Qaisra pursued her Master's in English and History from Govt Degree College for Women, Sialkot.

It was in her first year of college, that she started to pursue the craft of writing and quickly mastered it. Her debut as a writer for a drama series was for the serial Pul Sirat for Ary Digital in 2011, which she followed up with another popular serial Maseeha for Hum TV. Qaisra quickly rose to prominence her writing style being appreciated by fans for her compelling and unique writing style.

She has written TV series like Dil Ruba, Nisa, Kahin Deep Jalay, Ahsas, Saya-e-Dewar bhi nahi, Saraab, and most recently the TV series Ishq E Laa in 2021-2022. Qaisra has worked on several famous networks like Har Pal Geo, Urdu One, and TV One.

Her highly appreciated work as a writer is for the novel, which soon turned into a series, called Atif Allah aur Insaan. The novel approaches to describe the bond between God and Humans, through four different stories. Her net worth is estimated to be 2 million dollars. Hayat has been married since 2 May 2014.
