Kaveri is a South Indian television and film actress who is best known for her character as Ilavanji in the Tamil drama serial, Thangam, which was broadcasted on Sun TV channel in 2009. Kaveri portrays a negative role in the serial, from which she is very mischievous and thinks high of herself. She always brings troubles to her mother-in-law and from the family of her husband. Ilavanji wants to possess all the properties owned by her father-in-law and does all crooked things for that. Subsequently, her role reflects a childish comedy character and, because of her good performance in the serial, Kaveri received the Sun TV’s Best Female Villain Award in Sun Kudumbam Awards in 2010. Kaveri also acted in the Tamil soap, Vamsam on Sun TV. She played the role of Chinnaponnu in 2013.
She entered and was debuted in the big screen in the blockbuster Tamil drama film, Vaigasi Poranthachu opposite with Prashanth, under the direction of Radha Bharathi Bharathi has functioned on Kannada as well as Tami >> Read More... in 1990. She appeared as Ranjitha, child of the head of the village, Pandidhurai. She later went on to act in several movies in both big and small roles, but she was unable to get a break that any artists would look for. When she got the chance, she took a hiatus from the film industry and then later entered the small screen again that became a major success.
Kaveri was married to Rakesh, from Kumuli in Kerala, who is into pharmaceutical business in Velachery, Chennai. Initially, Kaveri marries Rakesh secretly with only their relatives and closest friends around. The private celebration happens in Arthanareeswarar Temple located in Risghivandiyam, Villupuram District. There have been reports stating that their marriage was secret due to the disapproval of their parents.
