Selvaraj is a famous actor in movies and serials. He was born at Tamilnadu. He is not talkative and he is very silent. His mother tongue is Tamil. He can speak Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and English. He completed his whole education at Tamilnadu. He came from middle class family and he doesn’t have much friends. Because of his father's business purpose, his family had settled at Hyderabad.

His father was running a ghee business. At that time, body building was his profession. Selva raj is a body builder. He got Mr. Hyderabad title twice. He participated for Mr. India in 1998 at Assam and in that competition, he was in best six. He did not think that he is going to be an actor. He did not have any knowledge about acting. First, he acted in Tholiprema movie with Pawan kalyan and then he started working in serials. He came into fame with the serial Chakravakam. Majula Naidu gave him a chance in Chakravakam serial. This was his first serial. He acted more episodes in Majula Naidu’s serial.

He got his identity with the name of Iqbal character in Chakravakam serial. Most of them think that he is a Muslim, because he entered into the serial with the Muslim character. He celebrates Ramjan with his friends. He also worked for Mogalirekulu serial with his own name; it was also a big hit serial in Telugu. He always says that “I came as a zero, but now I am a hero”. Selvaraj (Iqbal) is most famous actor has got married to Tejaswini Reddy at Arya Samaj, It was a love marriage. He felled in love with Tejaswini with the wrong call. At that time, Tejaswini was studying her degree second year. After that wrong call, they both were started talking each other on phone and then he first met Tejeswini in Sangeet theatre. They both were bonding together on Dec 2009. Selva and his wife were participated in many shows on television. He participated on one of the top most shows is Rangam. He likes dancing.
