Shravya Varma

Shravya Varma is an Indian Fashion Designer. She is an Entrepreneur and a business woman and has designed costumes for several Tollywood movies. She started her career at the age of 16. She is the youngest fashion designer so far in Indian fashion industry. Shravya was born in Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. When she turned 4 she moved to Hyderabad,Telangana. She is the daughter of P.S.Raju and Vijay Lakshmi. Her father is a businessman and owns rice mills and hydro-power projects. She is also the grand-daughter of Mr.Alluri Krishnam Raju, a renowned politician of the Congress party.

Then she joined CSI School of planning and architecture for Bachelors of architecture specialising in Interior Design. However, almost around the same time while pursuing her bachelor's, she started working as a costume designer for the Telugu Film Industry. At the age of 19, she established her own label Shravya Varma Shravya Varma started a small shop in Banjara hills in March 2013, since then her career has just been flourishing. She then expanded to a bigger shop in January 2014.

She has been working from the age of 16. She has said in one of her interviews that her family is rich but they were not spoilt with expensive things. At a young age, she learned that if she wants to enjoy luxuries she has to earn them. The idea of working hard and doing a Business started with simple things such as buying a phone of her own. Then she made her targets higher and at the age of 19 she has bought her own car and now she aims to buy her own house before the age of 25.

She is from a conservative comedy family. Her family insisted on doing Engineering instead of fashion Designing. She was forced to choose architecture but that didn't stop her from chasing her dreams. Now she has a successful label and is a pioneer for today's generation without having any formal training in fashion training. Shravya Varma is a label mostly known for its ethnic wear, however as she worked in the film industry she also styles her actress client for various events.
