Poorvi Bhave is a Marathi actress. Her talents are not restricted to her skills as an actor. She is also a seasoned classical dancer, anchor, and poet. Poorvi belongs to an artistic family, and her mother is a singer. Despite the current trend to excel in western dance forms, Bhave is inclined more towards classical and folk dance forms. Born on January 28, 1986, in Mumbai, Bhave schooled at Balmohan Vidyamandir, Dadar. The actress-cum-dancer also pursued her studies at Podar High School in commerce. Bhave was inclined towards acting since she was in the fifth standard.

The actress played a part in several plays conducted by Vidyatai Patwardhan. She was also a part of the television series Baldoot as a child. One of the other plays that she acted in was Yantarmantar. At the age of eight, she began training in Bharatanatyam under Dr. Sandhya Purecha, an acclaimed Bharatanatyam teacher. Later, when Bhave pursued her higher studies at Mumbai University, she represented her college in state and national theatre and dance competitions. Poorvi is the recipient of a slew of scholarships for her dance skills. She is passionate about dancing and loves to train others and contest in dance competitions. One of her preferred forms is the Marathi Bharatnatyam. The dancer has also showcased her skills in Margam, a Bharatnatyam dance form. Since Margam is not known to many, Poorvi along with her mentor Sandhya chose to make it popular. Then, she began hosting television shows aired on Star Majha for about two years. Later, she earned the Best Anchor at the Mata Sanman Awards.

The actress-cum-anchor hosted Solapur Festival 2010, Latur festival 2020, Mumbai Saptaranga Festival 2011, Elephanta Festival 2012, and Mata Sanman Awards 2011 (Nomination event). She has also anchored other events like Majha Sanman Puraskar 2012, organized by ABP Majha. Bhave also presented events for the Marathi musical drama flick Katyar Kaljat Ghusli in 2015.
