Deepak Deulkar

Deepak Deulkar is a Marathi television actor, who became popular for his role as Balram in Ramanand Sagar’s Krishna in 2001. He is the head of the Sangeet Marathi, which presents songs from several Marathi films and albums. He is married to acclaimed Marathi actress, Nishigandha Wad and they have one daughter. During college, he used to be a spinner in the cricket team, Under-19. The injury to his finger led him to stop playing cricket for quite a long time and eventually led him to be dismissed from the team. When he graduated from college, he tried his luck in the entertainment industry. He earned fame for his character as Mahadev Thakur on ETV Marathi series, Lek Ladki Ya Gharchi.

Deepak played lead roles in several commercial hit Marathi films including Bhakar, Saunsar Chakra, Mazi Bhagyalaxmi, Ladhai, Paath Rakhin, Sasar Maze, Pratidav, Topi Var Topi, Sasar Maher, Maza Saubhagya, JanmaDaata and much more. He was also starred in Hindi and Marathi TV serials like Panthar, Aparajita, Mukkaddarr, Badla, Tehkikaat, Raaz, X-Zone, Saturday Suspense, CID, Sapne Saajan Ke, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Damini, Bandini, Lek Ladki Hya Gharchi, Sawar Re and more. Besides acting, he wrote the script for the Marathi film, Saad, in 2012.

During the later film, Deepak was married to Nishigandha Wad. Starting in the year 1989, Deepak was allied with over 90 plus films and he is now moving near to century. He took a break in year 2000 to take care of his daughter Ishwari while he’s wife becomes busy with her career.

Deepak is currently playing the main role of Mahadev Thakur in Lek Ladki Ya Gharchi on ETV Marathi channel; a television serial that’s been running over the past three years with a total of 100 episodes. Deepak is also the script writer of the Marathi film, Saad that is already released. Actually, Deepak became more famous as a television artist rather than a film artist. Some of the serials that made him popular include Bandini, Damini, Sapane Sajan Ke, Krishna and a lot more.
