Bilal Hossein Mohammed is an actor who is associated with the Bollywood industry. He is most popularly known for his role in the movie, ‘Thugs of Hindostan,’ Bilal was born in Sopore, Kashmir, from where he set out to be a part of the glamor of the silver screen. His journey was filled with disappointment and misplaced hope for a greater period of a decade. He sought out Film Institutes in places like Pune and Noida, but his attempts at getting into the courses were repeatedly thwarted.
His family often advised him to forsake his unconventional dreams and find himself a steady job but Bilal and continued to seek out outlets that would cater to his passion for acting undaunted. He finally found a place for himself when he received Aamir Khan’s live voice scholarship and an opportunity to perform in a big-time Bollywood movie. Bilal made his debut in Yash Raj Films’ production ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ in 2018. His role as the thug in the action-drama sequence finally propelled him into the spotlight. Bilal is proud to be the first actor from Kashmir to make it to the big screens.
