Pratik Patra

Pratik Patra is an Indian Filmmaker and Director who predominantly works in the Bollywood film Industry. He was born on 17 May in the city of Rourkela in Odisha. Pratik Patra completed his schooling at Ispat English Medium School. After that, he pursued his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur. While at college he found himself drawn to the realm of filmmaking and photography. Pratik Patra was the Governor and Head of his college’s Technology Filmmaking and Photography Society. Exploring his artistic side, he actively participated as an actor and member of the Technology Dramatics Society - Encore.

Beyond the stage, he delved into music, becoming an electronic music producer and a vocalist for a brief period of time. On 15 February 2023, Pratik Patra married Sunidhi Meesala. Pratik Patra first entered the film industry in 2015 as an assistant cameraman on the set of Samarth Mahajan’s award-winning film ‘Kazwa: A Million Lanterns.’ In 2021, he made his debut as a director with the short TV series ‘Alma Matters - Inside the IIT Dream’. Besides being a director, Pratik Patra is also a gifted poet and pens short poems under the name of Sparrowkillr.
