Me And Earl And The Dying Girl Trailers,Teasers & Video Songs
The video clip depicts how the friends want to start a conversation and end up stuck in a weird situation. Earl starts the conversation by trying to praise Rachel’s room but Rachel states that Greg felt it was too girly. Then, Earl says it isn’t girly at all. They feel the strangeness of the talk and jump into the direct fact that they visited her to check how she was after her chemotherapy session. But then, not knowing what to say to make her feel better, the boys become abruptly silent. When Rachel tells them they could leave if they didn’t want to talk, they end up cooking a lie that they have been behaving unusually because they had breath drugged air accidentally. The trailer is humorous yet emotionally touching. It received 336 views on Fox Searchlight UK official page.
Twenty videos have been released to promote the film. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon has directed the movie. Brian Eno and NicoMuhly have provided the soothing music for the film. The story is about three high school students Greg, Earl and Rachel. Greg’s parents tell him to befriend Rachel because she has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Greg visits Rachel at her home, along with his friend Earl. They start becoming good friends. They even show the short films prepared by them to her.
Greg even starts skipping school to spend more time with Rachel. Rachel starts taking chemotherapy but her condition worsens. She decides to stop the therapy and Greg gets angry about the decision. This results in a fight between all three of them. They get distanced for a while. Greg gets to know that she has been hospitalized. He visits her instead of opting to go to the prom and shows her the short film that he and Earl made about her. She feels delighted with it. She slips into coma and eventually dies.
Greg gets to know that Rachel recommended his name for a college and explained them why he missed attending school. Later on, he makes a movie about his life experiences with her. The movie has received great reviews from the critics. It has been a heart-warming and emotional story. It has even won the Grand Jury award at 31st Sundance Film Festival.
