Plot

Sasikumar is a social activist who raises his voice against the casteist society. Anjali supports Sasikumar. As Sasikumar spends all his remuneration for the social issues, even his uncle hesitates to make him as his son in law. Athulya’s parents decided to get her married to Sasikumar. Finally, they get married. On that night, Sasikumar comes to know that Athulya was supposed to get married to him, as her family is casteist. They didn't allow her to get married to the boy who loves her. After coming to know about her story, Sasikumar sends her with her lover. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Star Performance

Sasikumar is very natural, as usual. Bharani, Anjali and Athulya had done what is given to them. Gnanasambandam, Namo Narayanan and Thulasi had done justice to the assigned roles.

Analysis

Samuthirakani’s dialogues are excellent and the characters are designed well. The message against the casteist people and the honor killing are neatly shown. The screenplay in the second half is impressive. The cinematography and the music by Justin Prabhakaran are excellent. The first half tests the patience and the length of the protesting scenes should have been minimized.
