Plot: Nick is a teenager who is trying to grapple with the various challenges of his life. He has to deal with the divorce of his parents, settle with his father and manage his sexually confused mother. While battling with these problems, he falls in love with a girl named Sheeni. He plans on giving up on her but later changes his mind and now wants to lose his virginity to her.
What you may like:
1. Probably the best part about the movie is the amazing dialogues that it possesses. As much as they are clever, they are also hilarious.
2. The script seems smartly and cleverly written which adds to its score. This can be credited to the fact that it is based on a novel of the same name.
3. The movie does full justice to the novel as it can be considered an engaging adaptation.
4. The movie has characters that we can very well relate to making the movie, even more, enjoyable.
5. The most cherished part about the movie is Cera, who does a brilliant job at playing a sexually confused and aroused teenager.
6. This movie shall not disappoint you especially because of its hilarious dialogues that will make you laugh out loud at certain moments.
What you may dislike:
1. Sometimes the movie may seem to be a little over the top and slightly undercooked. This may give it a very raw and immature feel sometimes.
2. It may be at its funny best, but there seems to be no purpose and lacks any kind of insight whatsoever.
Verdict: This movie seems to be a good choice for all young boys and girls who enjoy slightly bizarre and unique sort of comedy. It is also very interesting to see how the director has brought a novel to life with a very engaging and absorbing screenplay.
