Plot

Rachel Victor is a journalist, and she joins a new channel in Chennai as a sub-editor. She gets news about a couple of workers from Tamilnadu getting a death sentence in Kuwait. They are sentenced as they had been involved in a women’s death. After this announcement, the mother of those death-sentence prisoners appealed on social media to save them. After seeing this, Rachel started following the case. She decides to save those two Tamils and hence heads towards Sri Lanka. When they are in Kuwait, why does she fly to Sri Lanka? The rest of the story follows that.

Star Performance

Priya Bhavani Shankar played an interesting role as the journalist Rachel. Her performance is neat, and her physique suits the role well. Shirish did a decent job. Kishore appears in a small role; yet has given a convincing performance.

Analysis

The script is interesting, but the screenplay lacks some grip. Though the lead role is penned stronger, the rest are not. Priya Bhavani Shankar fit the role well. It would have reached more people if the screenplay had been designed with some more exciting scenes, twists, and turns. The cinematography is excellent, and the aerial shots are impressive. The color backdrop makes a good appeal, and the BGM is okayish.

Verdict

If the screenplay had been better, the film would have made a significant reach. However, the performance of Priya tops the chart, and Blood Money is watchable once!
