Varanasi To Release On This Special Date

SS Rajamouli is returning on Ramanavami!

According to the recent reports, the makers of Varanasi have locked their initial release date. If everything goes well, the movie will release on April 9, i.e. the occasion of Ramanavami in 2027.

Varanasi marks Rajamouli’s return to Indian cinema after five years, his last release being the 2022 blockbuster RRR. SS Rajamouli last worked on the historical fiction RRR, which was based around the Indian independence movement in the 1920s. Despite criticism from a section of intellectuals, the movie was a global success, which helped in redefining the Indian cinema. The movie also earned an Academy Award for Best Original Song [Naatu Naatu], making the film the first indigenously Indian movie to earn this honor.
