did not have a good relationship. Once, Kamal Haasan was committed in a movie of Balachandra Menon, which had a story that gives importance to the female role. It is 'Ammayaan Sathyam'. Kamal Hassan was acting in that movie for some days, till his friends’ brain washed him. One day, Kamal shut the shooting and told Bala that he is quitting from that movie. When Balachandra Menon asked the reason, he said that he could not act in the movie, which has production problems. Suddenly Bala told him that, he will produce it. But, Kamal did not listen to him and went away. Soon Bala got noticed that Kamal was acting in “Avvai Shanmugi”. That is why Balachandra Menon strongly says that Mr. Hassan could not face him with regality, as before.
