Dr. Seshulatha Kosuru is a Carnatic singer and teacher from Andhra Pradesh. She has a Ph.D. in Music from the Porti Sreeramulu Telugu University. Dr. Kosuru also serves as a lecturer since 1989 at the Department of Music at Telugu University. She has a master's degree in music from Padmavathi Mahila University in Tirupathi, a master's degree in Telugu literature from Osmania University, and a bachelor's degree in music from Andhra University. She teaches topics such as the improvisational aspects of Compositions and Devotional Music. She received her initial instruction from her mother as well as from Sri Chodavarapu Subba Rao, Sri Desapathi Raju, and Sri Sistu Prabhakara Krishna Murthy Sastry. In 1980–1981, she continued her education at Kalapeetham in Tirupati under the tutelage of Sri Balantrapu Rajanikantha Rao, Sri A.
Narayana Iyer, Sri K.R. Ganapathi, and V.L. With funding from the Sangeet Academy of the Andhra Pradesh Government she obtained advanced training from Late Sri Voleti Venkateswarulu between 1981 and 1988. She also had further training from Sangita Kalanidhi Sri Nedunuri Krishnamurthy. Dr Kosuru has performed classical and devotional music on All India Radio, Doordarshan, and several other television channels and has performed in various places in India and abroad. She has been a judge for several music competitions and shows. She has composed hundreds of devotional songs and released several albums as well. In 1998 Dr. Kusuru received the Smt. Rukmini Jagannathan Puraskar from Akhil Bharateeya Gandharve Vidyalaya Mandal Maharashtra for first position in Sangeet Alankar.
