Satish Kasetty

Satish Kasetty also known as Kasetty Sathyanarayana, is an Indian Film director who has predominantly worked in Telugu Film Industry. He was born in Hyderabad, Telangana. He completed his schooling from Hyderabad and completed his college studies from Hyderabad as well. He was very popular during his school days as he used to participate in his school functions as well as was good in academics.

He was also a sports person and has won many events such as Athletic meet and others. During his school days, he was the member of drama cub and was also an active artist. He has taken part in many plays during his school time. While he was in college, he worked on various short films. He mainly used to direct them. His skills made him very popular among his college mates. He used to work for a local magazine as a fashion photographer. He also worked as an event manager, while he was in college.

He started his career in film industry as a fashion photographer, choreographer, and an ad film maker. He has been part of the film industry for quite a long time. When he was working as an ad film maker, he was advised to direct the film. This thought striked his mind and he decided to work as a film director. He began his career as a film director with the movie Hope. This movie also won a National Film award for the Best Film on 54th National Film Awards.

The film was based on the social issues faced every day, such as teenage suicides due to peer pressure and stress. He shared the award with the producer of the film, Policheria Venkata Subbiah. The film was really appreciated by the audience as well as the critics. Later in 2009, he made another film, named Kalavaramaye Madilo. The movie was of romantic genre and won the prestigious “Nandi” award. Chitra also known as The nightingale of South India won the best singer award for the song “Pallavinchani,” that she sang in this movie.

The movie was about a girl named Swati Reddy who wants to sing along with A.R. Rahman. The movie was well received in the theatres and the work of the team was really appreciated. After that, he directed another film named Terror. This film is of thriller genre, and stars Srikanth as a lead artist. The film went well in the theatres.
