Nandini Srikar is a singer, composer, and a talented Guitar player from India. She is also a songwriter, producer, and programmer. Nandini Srikar was born on the 10th day of August, in the year 1969 and her star sign is Virgo. Nandini Srikar is married to Srikar Kalluri.

They both completed 25 years of wedlock on 26th January 2016. They have a daughter named Nishika Srikar. Nandini Srikar is from South India and now lives in Mumbai, India. At a very little age of three, Nandini Srikar started learning how to play the Veena. As she grew she started studying and taking more and more classical music lessons. She also learned to play Sitar and Guitar. From childhood, Nandini Srikar is a good Veena player, Sitar player and a guitarist. In her childhood, she learned music as her hobby.

She in her early days has not thought to take music as her profession. She completed her M.Sc. in Mathematics and took Software field as her career option. From the year 1997, she is active as a singer, performer, and guitarist and as a talented musician. In the year 1997, Nandini Srikar’s beautiful singing talent was first noticed by legendary singer and composer, Hariharan. In that year, for the first time, she sang a duet song with KK in the film ‘Uyirodu Uyiraga'. The duet song sung by her with KK, that is the song "I Love You" was a hit in 1998.

At that time she realized that she can go on with her hobby to make it her profession. Thus Nandini Srikar decided to quit her Software job and continue with music. From then onwards she focused on music and her beautiful musical journey begun. Besides singing, she also wrote many ad jingles. In the year 2008, she worked for the songs in the Bollywood fantasy adventure superhero film named Drona. She has also sung many other hits songs such as "Bhaare Naina" from the movie ‘Ra-One' (2011), "Dil mera muft Ka" from the movie ‘Agent Vinod' (2012), "Duaa" from the movie ‘Shanghai' (2012), "Harjaiyaan" from the movie ‘Queen'(2014) and many more Hindi and Tamil songs.

Nandini Srikar has won the Southern India Cinematographers' Association Best Female Singer of the year award for the song ‘Harjaiyaan' from the movie ‘Queen' at KL, Malaysia in the year 2015. She has also won the Mirchi Music Award (South) Best Female Singer of the year (Tamil) for "Aaha Kaadhal" from the movie ‘Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal' in the year 2014. In the year 2012, Nandini Srikar won the GiMA Best Playback Singer (Female) for the song "Bhaare Naina" from the movie Ra-One. Besides, recently she has also won the Best Playback Singer award in the Norway Tamil Awards for "Kannamma kannamma" from the movie ‘Rekka' (2016).

Nandini Srikar has performed at the Banyan Tree Events in the year 2014. At present, all can watch her as the Jury Member in the musical weekend show Amul Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs aired every Saturday and Sunday on Zee TV. Nandini Srikar is also quite active on various social media sites.

Nandini Srikar’s mother’s name is Shakunthala Chellappa, and she was a Hindustani Sitar player and Carnatic vocalist. During her childhood days, Nandini Srikar also learned Bharatnatyam along with sitar and guitar. She earned a degree in information systems management and took a master’s degree in pure Mathematics at Osmania University, Hyderabad. She is fluent in Tamil, Telugu, English, and Hindi languages. She has programmed, produced, composed, and performed all the songs in her debut solo album titled “Beete Pal” in 2011. The album features Prasanna (Guitar), Steve Zerlin (Bass), Ed DeGenaro (Guitar), Atma Anur (Drums), and other musicians. Nandini Srikar’s next venture is collaborating with DJ Badmash and a British multi-instrumentalist and producer, Shri. Throughout her career, Nandini Srikar has collaborated with several Brazilian, Turkish, and Greek musicians. In 2016, Nandini Srikar worked for a Pakistani romantic film, “Hijrat,” directed by Farouq Mengal and produced by FM Productions. She collaborated with the duo Gardenstate in their song, titled “Aurora,” in 2021. She has also sung songs for many Tamil films, such as “Joot” for Kattabomma (2003), “Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhai” for Aaha Kaadhai (2013), “Nerungi Vaa Muthamidadhe” for Yaar (2014), “Valimai” for Enna Kuraiyo (2022), and many others.
