Jamuna is a famous South Indian actress. Jamuna was born in 30th August 1936 in Karnataka. She was born to Nippani Srinivas Rao who was a famous business man and her mother was Kausalya Devi. She was a virtuoso even in her childhood days. Her mother teached her vocal music and harmonium. Dr Rajarao once happened to see her stage performance “Maa Bhoomi”. He was very much impressed and offer her heroine role in his movie Puttillu. It was in 1952.
She is a vociferous actress. She acted around 200 movies. Her notable performance was in the film “Mooga Manasulu”. It was a Telugu Drama film directed by

Jamuna was an actress who starred in many popular Telugu films of the late 1950s and early 1960s. She entered as heroine in movies at the age of 14. She has acted nearly in 200 movies. She started her career on 1958 with the movie Bhookailas. She has stopped acting in movies and joined politics.
