Samskruthy Shenoy

This gorgeous lady was born on 20th November 1998, in Kochi. She is the only child of Dr. Goving Raj Shenoy and T. A. Vidya. She has done movies in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam too. At the age of three, she was so enamoured by the song and dance sequences of the Hindi movie "Lagaan" that she forced her family to watch that movie six times. Following her interest in dancing, she joined Kochi Kalabhavan and is now trained in Bharatnatyam, Mohiniyattom, and other contemporary Indian dances. Malayalam cinema noticed Samskruthy’s talent and offered her roles at the age of 8 but her family being conservative refused the offers. Her family was against her dream of being an actress, but later they agreed when she assured them that there will be no effect of her acting on her studies and scores. She worked hard to keep to her words and scored very well in school. She is very popular in her school even though she has done very few movies. She said in an interview, "Even I love to be popular, but I would like to be known as a dancer rather than an artist." Before getting into the film industry, Samskruthy did modeling for Kalyan Silks Ad and an ad-film for the PP Mall in Mukkam. She started her journey with a small side role in the Malayalam movie, "My Fan Ramu", which was released on 4th January 2013. One of the biggest opportunities she missed was a lead role in the Tamil flick " Kutti Puli" with Shashi Kumar in the male lead role, due to her exams and her grandmother's bad health with whom she is fondly attached. She got famous in the industry for the Malayalam film "Black Butterfly" and was noticed by everyone. Now we will be able to see her in another upcoming Malayalam film "Nikkah," that is directed by Azad Alavil. Samskruthy plays the role of a Malabar bride in this movie. The name of her character is Hiba, a 20-year-old Muslim girl who is getting married but loves someone else which gives the twist to the flick. Samskruthy is planning for a break after this project for her studies as she has to appear for her board exams.
