Mysskin was born on 20 September 1971. His language of education was in Tamil. His insatiable predilection for books and novels inspired him to change his name to Mysskin. He was motivated to keep this name from a novel by Dostoevsky called The Idiot. Mysskin’s accidental acting career commenced when he met a director named Kathir in the book store that he worked in. he agreed to befriend him and stayed with him for eight months but didn’t work in any films. He is a Tamil director, an actor, a singer, producer and a screenwriter. Then he began his acting career as a result of accepting a movie offer by Vincent Selva and worked in two subsequent movies called Youth and Jithan.

He established his career by releasing his first directed movie in the year of 2006. The movie was unconfined by the name of ‘Chithiram Pesuthadi. His movies such as Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum, Anjathe and Nandalala were approved even by the grouchy critics. He demonstrated his stagecraft competence by representing the character of a mentally sick personality in his self-directed movie ‘Nandalala. After that, he explored the genre of dark thriller and made his next movie called Yuddham Sei. His proficiency in presenting his directing skills was admired by the public at large. However, the admiration for his dexterity took a pause when he launched his next movie ‘Mugamoodi. Later in the year of 2013, on 27 September, he released ‘Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum’ where he served the role of a murderer.

The interruption that came earlier discontinued and he was highly treasured for his commendable performance in ‘Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum’. Recently in the year of 2014, on November 19, his movie named ‘ Pisasu’ was released and turned out to be a blockbuster.

Vinay Govind is known for the subgenre of comedy films. He sketches the character in his movies in a comic and positive fashion. He is known for taking the main theme and then inspires much of the plot. His films also have certain themes and element in common. Vinay Govind had directed his first movie ‘'Kili Poyi' (2013) with Asif Ali, Aju Varghese. The film opened in theatres with good response from critics’ verdict. Before making his move to showbiz, the director had studied visual communication from Chennai. He undertook a course in Loyola College for visual communication course and this helped him to turn into a director. His visual communication course fetched him a job in advertising world but due to his passion for film, he took up a job of an assistant director with Malayalam filmmaker V. K. Prakash who was directing 'Beautiful'(2011). Vinay Govind had learnt the craft of direction under Prakash and he then made his debut as an assistant director with 'Kili Poyi'. This was an extraordinary film which was churned out from Malayalam film industry. In 2015, Vinay directed 'Kohinoor' which was set in the period of 1980’s. It was again a comedy heist film which featured Asif Ali for the second time in his directorial venture. The director gave importance to costumes worn in 1880’s and this created an ambiance set in that period. This was a well-packed entertainer movie with comedy and thrill too. The film had an average run at the box office but higher appreciation from critics helped him a lot to emerge as a young intelligent film director. The director's upcoming project is finalised. It will be a movie titled 'Amar Chitra Gadha'. The director will direct Nivin Pauly in this movie. For the first time, the hero Nivin will play three characters which are based on names of three ladies and they are Amar, Chitra, and Gadha. Actor Aju Varghese who acted in his early project ‘Kohinoor’ will also play an important role in his upcoming movie. This director was born on March 3, 1988, in Kerala. He had gone to school in his hometown of district Perinthalmanna. Without any godfather in the film industry, it is indeed very uncommon that Vinay Govind has made his mark just through two films that released so far.


Anjali Menon

Anjali Menon is a Malayalam film director who came to limelight with films like “Kerala Cafe’ and ‘Ustad Hotel’. She was born in Calicut ( Kerala). She is the daughter of T. Madhavan Nair and Sarada Nair. She grew up in Dubai but had completed her post-graduate in Communication from Pune University and later even became a graduate from the London Film School in 2003 where she learned the techniques of editing, producing and directing a film. Being an alumna of the London Film School, the choice of film-making as a career was just a progression.  Her completion of studies in London Film School made her attempt a film named ‘Black Nor White’ that was premiered at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. The film was produced by Asif Kapadia and had featured Rex Kempton and Archie Panjabi.  Anjali is married to Vinod Menon and lives in Mumbai. In 2006, she also had founded a film company ‘Little Film India’ with her husband, in Mumbai. She began her career with short films and documentaries, and they were appreciated in the Middle East, the USA and Dubai.  In her first film ‘’Kerala Café’’ she got to work with multiple directors like Ranjit, Revathi, Lal Jose, Shaji Kailash and others. It was a good experience for Anjali to assist in directing big stars like Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Dileep and others. This film was a teamwork of multiple directors and actors. The film had ten different cinematographers wielding a camera and told ten different stories; the film provided ample scope for each director to convey the message equally. The film received good response from critics.   In the year 2012, Anjali evolved as an independent director for a film ‘Manjadikuru’ which was produced by her husband Vinod Menon and herself. Anjali Menon wrote the story and screenplay for the film. The film received multiple awards from international film festivals, and Anjali was considered as the best debut director. The film got released after it swept many awards in the international film festival.  Anjali’s next project was ‘Ustad Hotel’ for which she contributed as a writer. She received the best dialogue writer award in National Film Awards. In 2014, she directed ‘Bangalore Days’ and the film was the top grossing film in Kerala in 2014. Anjali Menon wrote the story of the film, and it had Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya Nazim and Nivin Pauly in the lead roles. The film received a better response from critics, and this proved that Anjali Menon can work for both commercial and art cinema.
