K.C.N Chandrasekhar is an Indian Film Producer well known for his contribution in the Kannada Film Fraternity. His father, late K.C.N Gowda, was a legendary movie producer, distributor, and exhibitor. He was popular for some of his classic Kannada movies like Sharapanjara, Babruvahana, and Daari Thappida Maga. Gowda distributed more than 300 films and got rewarded with prestigious Dr. Ramkumar Award from the government of Karnataka for his massive addition in the Kannada Movies. Dada Saheb Phalke committee also awarded him Phalke Academy award in the year 2005.

Chandrasekhar’s brother, K.C.N Mohan, is also a Film Producer. He is popular for movies producing films like Julie and Arjun Abhimanyu. Chandrasekhar’s daughters and son, Spoorthi, Kavya and Shreyas are the third generations under K.C.N banner which entered the Kannada Film Fraternity by producing Nalla which is a romantic drama story, starring superstar Sudeep and debutant Sangeetha for the lead character. His next film as a director was Huliya Halina Mevu. His other movies as a producer are Bhaktha Gnanadeva, Dharma Yuddha, Thayi.

He has also acted in the film, Naanobba Kalla. Dorai-Bhagawan directed the film under S. Ramanathan, and S. Shivaram, popularly known as The Rashi Brother’s production. The story was widely appreciated and critics acknowledged the performance of each and every actor. Rajkumar was cast for a double role along with Lakshmi and Kanchana in the lead characters. He completed his graduation in commerce, and later he joined his father’s production company, K.C.N Group. He produced almost 50 Kannada films under his production banner and distributed over 500 movies.

Apart from Kannada, their banner also produces Bengali, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films also. K.N.C Chandrashekhar also known as Chandru, was elected three times as the President of South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce. It is an association of producers, exhibitors, and distributors of South Indian Film Fraternity. It includes Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala Chamber of Commerce. Its main office is in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Chandru has attended many national and international seminars to give recognition and has represented Kannada Film Industry.
