Sean Gonsalves

Anirudh Sean Gonsalves is a young music producer and director of an Indian origin. He hails from Barkur, a coastal town in Udupi. At only 21 years old, he is a sound designer by profession and has already made waves in the music industry. Sean has a passion for sound design and music that began at a very young age. By the time he was 13, he had already released his first record. It was through Noizbleed that Sean gained international recognition. His track Dimensions made it into the 7th compilation of Jwala, a pioneer electronic music and artist collective and record label.

Recently, his track Kozhikode Pt. 1 with Robu made waves on the heavyweight German bass label Saturate Records. He is probably one of the youngest mastering engineers working for the Hacienda Mastering facility in Orlando, Florida, where he has worked as a secondary mastering engineer and assistant acoustician, accompanying head engineer Matt Davis. He has assisted in mastering hundreds of records for vinyl and digital distribution mediums. Sean's work as a music producer and director has also caught the attention of the film industry. He scored the music and designed sound for a thesis documentary film produced and directed by his friend that was selected as a finalist at The American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase at The Cannes Film Festival 2021.

The documentary, shot in the coastal fishing town of Malpe, is based on the lives of the fisherfolk of coastal Karnataka and their daily struggles to make ends meet and their struggles with climate change. The film has received critical accolades and won awards at the National Student Production Awards and the Suncoast Emmys. It was also shortlisted for the 2021 BAFTA Student Award and selected for Mountainfilm, Telluride 2021. Sean also worked as the music director for the movie Fiction featuring Raj Shetty of Ondu Motteya Kathe when he was in Higher Secondary School. He has received support and encouragement from some of the top-rated artists of this unique music species such as Thys, Mr. Bill, Murkury, and others.
