Vishavpreet Kaur is born in a small town called Gidderbaha located in the district of Mukatsar. She grew up in a joint family with her parents in the village of Bidowali. She has two brothers and a sister. Tragedy struck her family when her father was killed in an accident a few years back and the death of her father had created a huge impact on the family.

Vishavpreet Kaur started her schooling in Girls Senior Secondary School at Badal. Vishavpreet has been a creative person since infancy and wanted to do things creatively. After completing her schooling, she joined degree in Fashion Designing in Chandigarh.

Vishavpreet started her own Boutique in Chandigarh after completing her fashion designing course. But the boutique did not fare well. Hence, she closed down the boutique and moved to Mumbai with the aim of getting into the media industry.

After coming to Mumbai, she joined the ’s Acting School and was given a chance to act in the show “Thanku Jijaji”, directed by Jaspal, who also acted in the show. Jaspal Bhatti appreciated Vishavpreet for her performance in the show.

When auditions were taking place for the serial “Ek Veer Ki Ardaas – Veera” and the production team was on the lookout for a Punjabi girl. Vishavpreet tried in one such regular audition and was selected for the role “Bansuri Balwant Singh” in the serial. A most embarrassing incident happened to her when she went to the toilet and came out. Only on coming out, she saw that it was the gent’s toilet.
