Shenaz Rizwan is a Pakistani actress based out of London. This also happened to her debut in the television industry. She is about forty years of age and was invited by Ekta Kapoor to play the part of Mrs. Bhalla in her serial. Ekta Kapoor mentions that ever since she had seen clips of Shenaz’s acting in YouTube, she had adorned her perfectly timed and quirky acting skills. So, she had waited for Shenaz to come to Mumbai, who was then in London. It took Shenaz three months to reach Mumbai as she was not getting a visa due to some issues. Ekta Kapoor along with all the cast and crew of the serial “Yeh Hai Mohabbatein”, not only acknowledge but also respect Shenaz as a fabulous actress.

Though being a Muslim, Shenaz has very well adapted to this role where she had played the role of a Punjabi lady named Mrs Bhalla. She did perfect justice to her character with proper presentation and diction usage. This undoubtedly attributed her to become the most entertaining of all characters in the show. As a person, Shenaz is very fun loving and always has a smile on her face. She was a natural actor right from her childhood and has been acting from the time she was six years old. She also had won many awards and accolades for the same. She possesses a tremendous passion for Indian cinema, but the television soaps and serials continue to allure her the most. Apart from acting, she also has a penchant for writing. She started writing when she was fifteen years old. She had a huge interest in exploring the feelings and emotions of the people around her which led her to become a writer.

She even had a book written in two languages namely, English and Urdu. She soon has plans to publish her book in India as well
