Juggan Kazim is a Pakistani-Canadian model, television host, and film and television actress. She was born as Syeda Mehr Bano Kazim in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. She is the niece of renowned lawyer and former Pakistan politician, Raza Kazim. Juggan’s parents, Syed Abbas Kazim and Ghazala Saigol got separated at her early age. Her father let her work as a model when she was just a kid, as he finds it cute though her family thinks that acting is a lowly field for women of her level. Syed is very conservative while Ghazala is more modern. Juggan went to Kinnaird College in Lahore, Punjab in Pakistan and King’s University College in Canada, where she took up a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Media. She also acquires a certification at the Cisco Certified Network Associate.
Juggan came back to Pakistan from Canada in year 2004 after marrying Adnan Ghafoor, whom she met during a friend’s wedding. Their marriage lasted for only a year but they are blessed with one son. They agreed that Adnan will not be involved in raising their kid, but because she is a product of a broken family, she got married again to Feisal H Naqvi in June 2013.
She started working in the industry at the tender age of four, when she donned several advertisements for products like Samsonite and many more. She appeared in her first commercial play at the age of fourteen. She used her stage name, Juggan Kazim when she started her professional career in Toronto, after the Sutherland Models offered her to work as a model. She was debuted as a film actress as Gugan in Pink Ludoos, helmed by Gaurav Seth in year 2004. She was paired opposite
in the lead role.After that, there is no looking back. She did an episodic in the Canadian TV series, The Eleventh Hour. At 16, she hosted her very first television show until she left Pakistan and pursues her acting career in North America. Juggan performed in several stage productions in Toronto. She also played the lead role in Rasik Arts’ Tara, which was directed by Sally Jones. She donned print modeling and appeared in music videos. The Newton Landry Management remains her Canadian agents up to this time.
When she returned to Pakistan, she made, penned and hosted a television show entitled Beanbag. That’s when she started hosting several Pakistani shows. In 2010, she became the Brand Ambassador of a cosmetic and beauty company called L’Oreal. This is for their Garnier brand in Pakistan. In the same year, she won the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Pakistan Media Award for her brilliant performance in Meri Unsuni Kahani.
On the following year, she acted in the Lollywood film, Khamosh Raho, opposite
in the lead role. The film was directed by Altaf Hussain, from which he planned to release in Pakistan in June 2011. Juggan was also starred alongside
in Silent Camera.
Besides acting in the big screen, she was seen in several drama serials including Sitam, Sher Dil, Chaat, Saiqa, Vasl, Rangeel Pur, Omar Dadi Aur Gharwalay, Janam Jali and a lot more. Juggan also hosted the shows, CEO on Business Plus, Fashion Stop on Ary Digital, VIPs Only on Aag TV, Mast Mornings on Dawn News, Morning with Juggun on PTV and many more.
