Jhalak Desai

Jhalak Desai or better known by her stage name, Zalak Desai, is an Indian television actress. She was born on December 20, 1992, in Mumbai, India. Her mother, Falguni Desai is a Gujarati actress, so acting is really in her genes. After finishing her 10th standard at R.N. Shah High School in Mumbai, she started her television career and was introduced as Sarla Ambar Raghuvanshi in Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions’ drama serial, Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai, which was aired on STAR Plus in 2009. After 10-months of running, the show ended in 2010. Zalak took a 5-year hiatus so she can finish her 12th. She completed B.Sc Biotechnology at the Mithibai College in Mumbai. Prior to her sabbatical, the Shashi Sumeet Production house asked her to inform them when she’s ready to return. She made a comeback in the television serial, Dil Deke Dekho in 2014. The serial is a youth-centric show, which was aired on Sony Entertainment Television channel. This year, she acted as Anmol Nikhil Tiwari opposite Fahad Ali in the television romance drama soap, Mooh Boli Shaadi, aired on Sony Entertainment Television India. The serial was produced again by Shashi Sumeet but after almost four months of running, it went off the air due to low TRP. Currently, she is playing the role of Pinky in the comedy series, Hum aapke Ghar Mein Rehte Hain on SAB TV. She replaces Rose Sardana in playing the second lead role in her third show with Shashi Sumeet. Rose was said to have particular issues about the character she was playing, which kept changing regularly, and so she has decided to opt out the show. Zalak used to take part in school dramatics, but she never really had any formal training in acting. Hence, her passion in the industry has pushed her to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. Besides acting, she wanted to become an Engineer, and so she decided to plan her life and finished her graduation first. She believes that she can do working at any age, while studying should be done at an early age. The young actress has been involved in several social activities. Recently, she assisted a fractured student of Sardar Patel College of Engineering in finishing his exams. In 2010, she bagged the Favorite Devrani Award at the Star Parivaar Awards. Recently, she made her very first commercial ad for Himalaya’s Purifying Neem Face Wash.

Jividha Sharma or Jividha Ashta (after marriage) is an Indian model, dancer and film and television actress. She started her career as the sister of Aishwarya Rai in the Bollywood musical romantic drama film, Taal, in 1999. Though she acted in a supporting role, she earned appreciation from the viewers. She rose to fame in the romantic action film, Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa, where she starred opposite Karan Nath in the lead role in 2002 and earned recognition from the prominent Punjabi producer and director, Manjeet Maan. From Bollywood, she progressed to the Telugu film industry and acted in Narayana Rao Upplapati’s film, Yuva Ratna, along with Taraka Ratna Rama Rao Nandamuri in the lead role in the year 2002. Eventually, the actress bagged the female lead role in her first Punjabi film, Mini Punjab, alongside legendary actor and singer, Gurdas Maan Ji in 2009. In 2011, she acted as one of the leads in the Punjabi film, Yaar Annmulle, which was helmed by Anurag Singh. Jividha acted in Diljit Dosanjh’s debut film, The Lion of Punjab in the same year. She was also seen in another Punjabi film entitled Dil Saada Lutiya Gaya, together with Ashmit Patel in the lead role. Jividha has also gained popularity on the small screen. In 2003, she played a cameo role as Muskaan in the Hindi serial, Tum Bin Jaaoon Kahaan, on Zee TV channel. The following year, she was seen in AK Films’ Zameen Se Aassman Tak on Sahara One. Jividha made an episodic on Life OK’s Savdhaan India and Zee TV’s Fear Files 2. She further acted in a television commercial for Johnson’s Baby Cream. Besides modeling and acting, she is also a brilliant dancer. She was trained by one of India’s best choreographers, Saroj Khan. She danced in the music video of her film, Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa, to the tune of Kumar Sanu’s Jab Se Main. She also appeared in some of the item songs in the 2012 Punjabi film, Pinky Moge Wali. Due to her passion for dancing, Jividha enrolled her kids, Ashtami, and Vidhan Ashta in one of India’s best dance school, Saif Creations.
