Debolina Dutta is an actress and model from West Bengal well known for her roles in Bengali films, commercial ads, and television serials. She was born on the 20th of April in the year 1977 in the city of Kolkata in the state of West Bengal.
She was born into a family where she was lovably called Debleena or Deboleena by her loved ones and colleagues. As a young child, Debolina was interested in acting and had made her debut into acting in a very young age. After completing her higher secondary education, Debolina attended the Loreto College in the city of Calcutta (now known as Kolkata).
She studied in Loreto College and graduated with an Honors degree in English. She made her debut into acting as a child artist in a Bengali movie named ‘Manush Amanush’ in the year 2002 which was directed by Chiranjeet Chakraborty.
After appearing in her first film, she had signed up for a lot of advertisements and modeling projects. She gained a lot of popularity and recognition after she was cast in filmmaker Mukul Roy Chowdhury’s Bengali film named ‘Taan’ which was released in the year 2014. She was cast alongside actors like
and Rituparna Sengupta.
The movie was a drama about human trafficking and prostitutes or water prostitutes also known as Jol Beshyas. She was cast as ‘
’ one of the water prostitutes and was recognized for doing bold scenes with co-actor Rajesh Sharma.
She had appeared in a television serial named ‘Ek Akasher Niche’ and had also done the role of a prostitute which had won her the role in ‘Taan’. She appeared in a whole bunch of movies, later on, such as ‘Ebar Shabor’ in 2015, ‘Chotushkone’ in 2014, and ‘Ekla Akash’ in 2012, etc.
She also appeared in a lot of television serials and especially noted as ‘Dr. Barna Roy’ in ‘Ekhane Aakash Neel’ which was aired from 2008 to 2010. She got married to Bengali television actor
in the year 2014.
