Mrinal Dutt was born in Delhi, and he did his schooling in the capital too. He was enthusiastic about acting from a very young age, and he used to do small gigs in front of his family members, and his mother would capture his gimmicks on the camera. While growing up, Mrinal developed an interest in Cricket and was a cricketer but still Mrinal had the fondness for performing arts.
Mrinal used to take part in the college theater and soon realized that acting was natural to him but still he didn’t consider making a life in the film industry. It happened when, he shifted to Mumbai for a job and soon things started occurring.
Mrinal started doing some ads with famous actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Ali Zafar, Nargis Fakhri and many more and even did some South Indian films. He got his first opportunity to work in the TV industry with Channel V’s show called Roomies, where Mrinal played the character of Zizou and after that he worked in some episodes for shows like Pyaar Tune Kya Kia and many more. His big breakthrough came when he was chosen to play the role of a student detective for Star Plus’ Private Investigator, where he played the character of Raffe Roy Choudhary, a young Criminology student who gets involved in solving criminal cases with a different perspective than the usual ones.
The show is a super hit among the audience and his performances in the show have received an overwhelming response.
When it comes to Indian soap lovers, this man always comes to mind as it was his gray shaded side that always added drama to daily soaps. No one can deny the fact that through his impeccable and powerful performances Achal Nagesh Salwan has made Indian TV viewing more intriguing as t he is able to grab one daily soap after the other. Born in Haryana, Nagesh was raised in a Thakur family. It was in 2002 when director Umesh Pad decided to cast Nagesh in his show Dhakhan which is based on American Hit drama ER. Dhakhan was a success and also paved way for related shows such as Sanjivani. From then on, there was no looking back.
He did shows such as Navya on Star Plus, Mahakumbh on Life Ok and was last seen playing the role of Durga Prasad Maheshwari on Swaragani. His talent is not only limited to the small screen as he played characters that might have been compact in length but were gripping all throughout such as Earth (1998), Black Friday(2004),Delhi 6 (2007) to name a few.
In an interview, he claimed that he enjoyed playing gray negative roles as they were highly challenging. These roles had versatility and pushed the person to its limits. He has portrayed some of the most amazing unforgettable parts which have left a legacy for him, a legacy that will be a lesson for those hopeful aspirants who want to make their destiny in the show business. His story will be an inspiration for generations to come. It comes to show that whether its daily soaps or cinema this man can do it all. He has taken Indian television industry to extraordinary heights and with his efforts, it will keep on achieving greatness.
