Jaspal Singh Bhatti was an Indian television actor and director known for his various television shows and a variety of other programs.

After Flop Show he directed and acted in another popular television series Ulta Pulta Ulta Pulta is a famous satirical comedy show which >> Read More... and Nonsense Private Limited for the Doordarshan television network. The humorous take on everyday life of middle class population of the country was what fuelled his shows towards popularity.

Jassi then directed a feature movie in Punjabi language named Mahul Theek Hai. His movie was a satirical take on Punjab police. The movie was a commercial success and its honest simplicity was much appreciated by the audience. 

Jaspal has also acted in several Indian movies. Among them are his role of a security guard in the movie Faana and college principal in Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche. Other Bollywood movie he acted on was Aa Ab laut Chalen in Kadar Khan.

His television stint continued with the appearance in Comedy Ka King Kaun as a judge. Another appearance was in the popular dance reality show Nach Baliye along with his wife. Jassi set up a studio and training school called Joke Factory in Mohali. He also launched a new television series named Thank You Jijaji which was shot at his MAD Arts studio in Chandigarh.

Jaspal poked fun at government with his practical joke on 2009 Chandigarh Carnival. He put up a stall of oils and vegetables and invited the visitors to throw rings around them to win expensive gifts. Jaspal Bhatti was also awarded Padma Bhushan posthumously on Republic Day 2013.

Bhatti was known for starting various political parties to poke fun at the political parties during elections. During another year, he started Hawala Party to bring into attention the growing corruption among political leaders. 

Jaspal Bhatti passed away on 25 October, 2012.
