Faizan Khawaja is a Pakistan television actor. He was born and raised up in Houston, Texas on January 7, 1986 to renowned producer Rashid Khawaja. To pursue his dream of becoming an actor, he went to India and studied acting, theatre and filmmaking at the Whistling Woods International in Mumbai. He is actually the first actor to study acting, theatre and filmmaking before making his debut in the industry. After this, he moved to Pakistan to become an actor. 

Faizan decided to move to Pakistan after the NTM channel was launched, since his father is associated with it. From Mumbai, he moved to Pakistan because he finds it hard to stay in the city after the Mumbai terror attack. He also learnt television production and one of his top priorities is to produce his own films. 

Faizan was applauded for his performance as Roman, one of the leads, in the Pakistani drama serial Aike Nayee Cinderella, which was aired on the Geo TV channel from year 2012 to 2013. He also played as Saqib on ARY Digital’s Meri Ladli and on Urdu 1’s Meri Saheli Meri Humjoli in the year 2012. Faizan was also praised for his performance on ARY Digital’s Aks in the same year. Aside from Cinderella, he also finds his performance in Parwaz-e-Junoon very challenging. In 2013, he played as Daniyal on Geo TV’s Mann Ke Moti. At the same time, he is also doing the drama serial Soha Aur Savera and Meri Maa on Geo TV.

The actor said that his success was because of his father, who is also his mentor and closest friend, and has been his pillar of strength. After being trained in specialized acting by his other mentor Naseeruddin Shah and other prominent actors such as Ratna Phatak Shah, Kenneth Desai, Arvind Pandey, Randeep Udda, and Benjamin Gillani, he was set to enter Bollywood in a film that was tentatively titled as Bankster, which was helmed by Azaan Khan, the son of veteran actress Zeenat.

This year, he also produced the first made-for-television film in Pakistan entitled, Life Story, which features Ainy Jafri, Sajid Hasanm Samina Ahmed, Zeba Bakhtiar and Faizan himself. The telefilm was helmed by Aamir Yousuf and produced under the banner of Fiz Productions. His father made a guest appearance in Life Story.

The versatile actor also enjoys horse riding, swimming, martial arts and dance like hip-hop, Kathak and Bollywood. He is also fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi languages.

Faisal Rehman or better known by his stage name Faisal is a prominent television and film actor, writer and director from Pakistan. He was born in Lahore but his ancestors were hailed from Afghanistan. Faisal is the son of Massud-ur-Rehman, a cinematographer and his brother Fasih Ur Rehman is a classical dancer. He is also the nephew of popular Bollywood actor Rehman. He completed his matriculation at St. Anthony High School in Lahore and entered the film industry at the age of 14. His first role was from the movie Nahi Abhi Nahi in 1980, which stars famous actress Shabnam. He continued to do films and studies at the same time. He attended Forman Christian College and took up Bachelors Degree in English Literature from the University of Punjab. He was successful in his debut film and went on to act in several films for almost ten years. In the early 90’s, he moved to Canada and dwells in the country for five years. Faisal lives in Montreal, from where he learned French language. He is also fluent in English, Dari (Persian), Punjabi, Urdu and Bengali languages. When he came back to Pakistan, he did two feature films and several telefilms and dramas. He was applauded by the audience in the drama serial Malaal, helmed by Mehreen Jabbar. He played as Danish, a shallow and possessive man who marries a girl that is half of his age. This serial received the nomination at the 10th Annual Lux Style Award under the category of Best Serial. Faisal is also the co-founder of an association for the actors called The Actors’ Collective (ACT). This was established in the year 2009 in Lahore. From 1980 to 1985, Faisal has done films like Aladin, Yeh Zamana Aur Hay, Nadani, Tina, Doorian, Biwi Ho To Aisee, Love Story, Mehek, Miss Colombo, Aaposh, Naraaz, Dhanak, Palkon Ki Chaon Main, Miss Singapore, Chakkar, Beqarar, Qasam Munnay Ki, Girebaan, Baat Ban Jay, Jeenay Nahi Doon Gee, Agar Tum Na Hotay, Aandhi, Bazar R Husn, Pyaar Aur Pesa, Ghaddaar and Guns and Roses. He also did several television serials starting from year 1997 to 2012. The last was with Kamal Haasan in Ranjish Hi Sahi on Geo TV. Faisal also directed World Ka Centre in 2002 and won the Best TV Film and Director, Kali Shalwaar in 2003, Javaid Shampoo in 2004, Home in 2005, Karwachoth, Nausar Baaz and a music video in 2006, and Blouse in 2007.

Faraz Khan

Faraz Khan is an Indian theater artist, television and a film actor. He is from Hyderabad, but he spent his childhood at Saudi Arabia and returned to Hyderabad in the year 1991. Ten years after, he left for London to pursue his studies. Initially, he took up a degree in Information Systems, but he realized that this is not the thing that he wanted to do. Later, he attended several workshops and holds a diploma in Drama from London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. He has worked in short films, stage plays and documentaries. Faraz was featured in Anand Gandhi’s drama film, Ship of Theseus; a film that won the Best Feature Film Award at the 61st National Film Awards in the year 2014. This film is a story about a blind photographer, a stockbroker and a monk. Faraz played as Vinay, the boyfriend of the blind photographer. Faraz also played a supporting role in Shaadi Ke Side Effects. In the initial phase of his career, Faraz was offered to do the role of a terrorist or a gangster in a Pakistani film, but he doesn’t want to be slotted into the same roles until he was given the chance to appear in the sports drama film, Patiala House in 2011, helmed by Nikhil Advani. The team was currently casting in London and he was luckily selected to play the role of Akshay Kumar’s brother. During that time, the shoot for Ship of Theseus was happening in between the schedules of Akshay Kumar-starrer. The success of the film opened up new possibilities for Faraz Khan. In 2011, he appeared in the British drama film, Everywhere and Nowhere, helmed by Menhaj Huda. This was followed by a German film entitled The Girl with the Indian Emerald in year 2013, where he played as a cycle rickshawala. He also played as a geeky scientist on Epic’s Daanav Hunters. The actor, whose first love is theatre, has also directed a play entitled The Open Couple, produced by a theater group called 71mm. Open Couple received three nominations, including the Best Director at the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards (META).
