Jackichand Singh

Jackichand Singh is a football player who plays for the football club of Goa in India. His full name is Telem Jackichand Singh and was born in March, 1992, in the state of Manipur in India. He played at the position of a Winger in his Football team.

He was a part of the Army Boys academy for five years, from 2004 to 2009. From 2009 to the year 2015 Jackichand played for Royal Wahingdoh, made 56 appearances and scored 14 goals. In 2015 he joined Pune City and played for them for one year with nine appearances and one goal. In 2016 he became a member of Salgaocar, and then Mumbai City continued to play matches and score some goals.

In 2017 he was part of East Bengal team but soon made his way to join Kerala Blasters FC. He got selected for the National level football team of India in 2015. He plays as a midfielder. Singh made his debut as a professional football player with the team Royal Wahingdoh and played in the I-League in 2011, in September in the Federation Cup.

He also scored a goal in that match. He was a complete asset to the team during the I-league second division campaign in the year 2011 and helped in the team in getting qualified from the group stage with his three goals. Sadly his team failed to make it to the final round.

In the I-League second division season, Wahingdoh were the group winners, and Singh scored two goals. He continued with the team for 2013 league and 2014 season. Jackichan’s first game for the team Royal Wahingdoh was against the Mumbai team in 2014-15 edition of the federation cup where he was the reason his team scored both goals which led them to victory.

In 2015 Jackichand participated in an auction and got into team Pune City for the 2015 Indian Super League. Under the team, he scored a goal in the second fastest time ever by a footballer while playing against Atletico de Kolkata. With Salgaocar, played on loan and played his first match in 2016 against Bengaluru FC.

In March of 2016, Jackichand signed for Hero ISL with Mumbai City football team. In 2017 he became part of Kerala Blasters and played in 2017-18 ISL. Internationally, Jackichand made his debut in the senior national team in a game against Nepal in 2015 as a substitute. He assisted for three times in the 2019 Asian Cup qualifier and was part of a huge win.
