Pritam Das

Pritam Das is an Indian Hindi sound designer, hailing from West Bengal, India. His passion for the music box brings alive the story of the movies. He believes, understanding your forte, is the most important thing for sound designers and recordists.

His realistic sound designs have earned him some of the greatest blockbusters of recent times under his name. Pritam Das did his schooling from Malda Zilla School, followed by studying Physics at Malda College. He later earned his Post Graduate diploma in sound recording from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata. Apart from films, he also works in the sound department of various web series and Television serials.

He has worked for over 30 films and web series to date. He won the Award for Technical excellence in the Awards for International Indian Film Academy as well as the Film fare Award for best sound design in the year 2011 for his work in the film ‘Love, Sex Aur Dhokha.’ He received the Jury prize for best sound design at Festival Venezolano de Cine de la Diversidad, for his work in the film ‘Sisak.’ In 2020, he got the Technical award for Best Sound Mixing for the film ‘War,’ at the Awards of the International Indian Film Academy.
