Sikandar Sanam was an actor, singer and stand up comedian from Pakistan. He was born in Karachi, Pakistan on 21 September 1960. He died on 5th November 2012 in Pakistan. Sikandar was known to redefine stage mimicry as an art. His father was a well know poet from Jetpur, India.He started performing as a child artist and singer on stage. He changed his name from Mohammad Sikandar to Sikandar Sanam to enter the show business.
He acted in 2 Pakistani movies Choron Ke Ghar Chor and Zor. Sikandar was known on Indian television for The Great Indian Laughter Challenge for which he also got a title of comedy king. It was a cult show of that time.
He was also a part of other Indian shows such as
Funjabbi Chak De
. He was also a part of various parody films like Tere naam-2, Singham-2, Sholay-2, Ra.One-2 and many more. He directed and produced and also acted in most of these parodies.
He did numerous stage shows in his career. In September 2012 he was diagnosed with liver cancer. On November 5, 2012 the actor lost his battle with cancer, which led to his sad demise in Pakistan.
