Bollywood's latest playback singer Hriday Gattani is a discovery of music composer A.R. Rahman. Rahman introduced him to cinema music. If it had not been so, Hriday Gattani would not have become a singer. He was very young just three years old when his association with Rahman had begun. Hence, he will naturally turn euphoric while recounting his experience of working with the Oscar-winning music director. He was studying in Rahman's school of music in Chennai. Rahman’s school had changed his life. It is Rahman School’s creativity that introduced him to this wonderful music world, and that is why he can compose or sing or even write lyrics too.

This singer also worked in Rahman’s studio. His father Deepak Gattani has been his official concert manager for over 18 years now. Even he used to participate in the musical tour of Rahman in abroad. This gave him more scope to understand the music so well that he grew up to a music composer and singer too. There was an idea that singers belonged to classical training only, but Rahman brought out many singers from his school, and Hriday Gattani is one among them.
