Shriya Pilgaonkar is the actress, stage level performer, producer as well as a director in India. Her mother, “ Supriya”, was an actress and her father “ Sachin”, was an actor, producer, and director. When she was a child, she got the training for becoming the professional level trainer. During her school timings, she was the winner of many medals. When she was grown up, everybody’s belief was that she could be a translator or linguist. At her childhood, she had classes into Japanese. But later, she opted for another route; She completed her graduation in Sociology, and it was from the college “Xavier”. Then she studied at “Film and Television Institute of India”. During her childhood days, she had the learning of Kathak and was very fond of animation. While coming to her career into acting, it was started at her age of five only.

At five, she gave her presence into serial in 1994 “ Tu Tu Main Main”. There she played the character of the son of the neighbor named “Bittoo”. After this, she made her appearance as the on the stage debut during 2012. Along with this, she performed into short play “Freedom of Love”, which was of 10 minutes duration. It was the part of the festival “NCPA’s”. She was the actor, dancer, and singer in this play. After performing into “Freedom of Love”, she made her debut along with Marathi movie “Ekulti Ek”. Here she played the character of “Swara”. Her father allotted her this role, and he was the writer, director, and producer of this movie.

As per her, his father got credit to provide a platform to many fresh talents along with her mother. When his father gave this offer to her, she told that she is not interested in taking any favor. And then his father added that he is not a stupid to invest for waste. Even she was considering it the right time to enter into this line as so much changes were taking place. She was also proud to get a chance to work with his father for her first project. She received six awards, and best of all of them was the state government award of Maharashtra for working as the best actress for a debut.

Reviews of this movie were in the range of average to positive. As per Times of India, this movie stood at 3 out of 5. This movie was the best launching for her daughter. After working into “Ekulti Ek”, she participated in other projects of stage and film. Even theater star “ Akarsh Khurana” approached her for working into “Internal Affairs”. After this, she got an opportunity for working into French movie “Un Plus Une”. In this, she was performing the character of Indian actor and dancer “Ayanna”. During 2016, she made her debut for the movie “ Fan”.

She was the one selected from a total of 750 girls. Along with, she made her career as the director and producer for short movies. She completed her summer school from the University “Harvard”, and this allowed her to work for her own short films. In the movie festival of Mumbai, she worked as the co-director and editor for the short movie “Dresswala”. She has even worked into adds with the stars like “ Shahid Kapoor” and “ Vikrant Massey”.

Tridha Choudhury

Tridha Choudhury is a Bengali and Telugu film actress. She was born and brought up in Kolkata, W. Bengal. Choudhury did her school education from M.P. Birla Foundation Higher Secondary School. She went on to obtain a degree in microbiology from Scottish Church College, Kolkata. She is trained in classical dancing and has performed in national level dance competitions. Since a very young age, Choudhury was fond of modelling and this interest led her to become the Calcutta Times Fresh Face 2011. Tridha’s debut film was Mishawr Rawhoshyo, a Bengali film directed by Srijit Mukherjee, which released in 2013. The director of this film was inspired by the character Kakababu, a creation of Sunil Gangopadhyay. The film is about the discovery of a secret Egyptian hieroglyph that Kakababu(Prosenjit Chatterjee) is asked to decipher, and in the process of doing so there is murder, treachery, drama, action and lots more. The movie became quite popular among the audiences and turned out to be one of the most successful films of 2013. She did two more Bengali films after that – Jodi Love Dile Na Prane(2013), a love story which began during the teen years of the lead characters, but then they end up marrying different people, to unite once again after a period of 20 years; and Khaad(2014), a movie about a group of travellers, who become acquaintances as a consequence of being in the same bus. Unfortunately, their bus meets and accident and they get stranded in the middle of nowhere. The movie is about the trials, tests, and life struggles of these passengers and how they decide to start afresh after this incident. She has also done a Telugu film titled Surya vs. Surya(2014) a typical south Indian action film; and an English short film titled Merry Christmas(2015). Choudhury is currently working on a TV show called Dehleez, which airs on Star Plus, opposite Harshad Arora. She plays the role of a lawyer who believes in doing the right thing and does not want to live a life tied to insensitive customs and traditions, true to her character’s name – Swadheenta. As mentioned in an interview Tridha gave to Asian Age, “My character has been very well thought out and penned beautifully....I feel Swadheenta(the name of her character) is someone every woman will relate to.” Tridha’s Hindi isn’t very good since she comes from a Bengali background and says that she had trouble with her lines. On top of that, she also had to pick up Telugu as her role demanded. There were rumours that Tridha Choudhury was dating her co-star from Dehleez, Harshad Arora, but the two have dismissed them. She is a bubbly young actress who has a lot way ahead of her.
