Nausheen, is an extremely gorgeous and talented model turned actress from Pakistan. She is from a Sayyid family. Though her mother was quite discontented with her decision of starting a career in modeling, her father and also brothers did not become the hindrance. More than a decade has passed but, her association with Pakistani TV screen is still now strong and she is being featured in popular TV serials one after one. She was featured in several TV commercials and also walks ramp for renowned designers. Her most popular commercials for TV are the ads for, ‘First Women’s Bank’, ‘Habib Bank’, ‘Warid Telecom’. Due to her focus in modeling, her education got affected. If she did not take modeling as her career she would become a designer because it is her second interest. She was featured in several TV shows, serials and plays. Her role in ‘Mera Pehla Pyar’ was hugely appreciated by the audiences. This show was telecasted in ARY Digital. She started her career in TV series with PTV play ‘Ek Safar Tanhai’. She made perfect use of every chance that came by her path. During the mid 80s Neelam Kothari had a successful period of her film career. This cute lady with a sweet smile was indeed a reckonable star then. The 1984 flick Jawani is her debut film. Love 86, Illzam, Aag Hi Aag are some of the hits in her career. After some years she acted in Sooraj Barjatya’s Hum Saath Saath Hain with big stars of Bollywood. Though she had a brief role in Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Neelam was appreciated as the VJ Neelam.  Having stayed in Hong Kong during her early stages of her life Neelam later shifted to Bangkok. While she was enjoying in Mumbai film maker Ramesh Behl introduced her in the 1984 flick Jawaani, which was a flop.  Neelam’s pairing with Chunkey Pandey (with whom she acted in 8 flicks) and Govinda (with whom she acted in 4 flicks) was successful. In fact, the late 80s produced good hits of the pair Govinda and Neelam. This pair was refreshing unlike the other older pairs of its time. Neelam also tested waters in Bangladesh territories and was successful there too.  Neelam worked in Amitabh Bachchan’s Agneepath in 1990. Afsana Pyar Ka (1991) is a flick in which she worked with Aamir Khan and the number Tip Tip was a big hit. But some other flicks were flops and there was a slow downfall in Neelam’s cinema profession. Ghar Ka Chirag, in which Neelam shared screen space with Rajesh Khanna, is the best film in her career. Chunky Pandey also worked in this film.  Neelam’s endeavor in jewelry proved successful. Neelam developed fervor for jewelry in 1999 and hence quit acting. Neelam Jewels are her progeny, which was started in 2004. She entered into marital life again in 2012 (after parting ways with Rishi Sethia); she is now wedded to actor Samir Soni. Along with being actress, she is a designer of jewellery. During 1986 she did her debut with movie “Ilzaam”. After this, she acted in many movies along with “Govinda”. Some of her hit movies include- “Sindoor” in 1986, “Hatyai” during 1988, “Khatron ka Khiladi” in 1988, “Paap ki Duniya” in 1988, “Ghar ka Chirag” in 1989, “Mitti Aur Sona” during 1989. Coming to her early life, she took birth in Hong Kong. During her childhood, she got the training of playing the keyboard and did dancing as Jazz Ballet. Her old family business is to make high class jewellery. Her early childhood was spent in Hong Kong and after that she went to Bangkok. While holidaying at Mumbai, director ‘Ramesh Behl’ approached her. Then she decided to try her career in acting and during 1984, she signed the movie named, “Jawaani”. But this film ended with a flop. Her debut film’s performance got noticed in her film circles and she even got offers for that. Then during 1986, she got famous for her acting in the film “Ilzaam”. She performed in total of 14 films and out of all those 8 movies were big hits. These 8 big hits include-“ Hatya”, “Sindoor”, “Love 86”, “Taaqatwar” etc. She acted in 8 movies opposite ‘Chunkey Pandey’ and out of those 5 were hits. Her one of the most known movies was during 1989 named "Ghar Ka Chiraag" and in this she starred opposite to “Rajesh Khanna”. Some of her hit films of 1990's include- “Ek Ladka Ek Ladki”, “Parampara” etc. But some movies appeared to be flop for her which include-“ Pratigyabandh”, “Banjaran”, “Agneepath”, “Afsana Pyar Ka”, “Amiri Garibi” etc. In 2001 she worked on her last movie- “Kasam”. Here she acted opposite to Chunky Pandey. After 1995, she did not get any offer as in lead roles. She then married ‘Rishi Sethia’ a businessman’s son from U.K. But this marriage could not stay for longer and on 24th January of 2011, she married ‘Samir Soni’. Then they adopted a child girl on 2nd September of 2013 and gave her name ‘Ghana’.
