Sayak Chakraborty is an upcoming star of the industry. He is an Indian film Actor and has also worked as an Assistant Director in some movies. He also performs for television serials. He was born and brought up in Kolkata, India. He completed his schooling from Sonarpur Vidyapith and did his graduation from Calcutta University. After that, he got admitted to Sikkim Manipal University. He has done few roles in Bengali movies and is now famous as a Television actor.

He is a well-known face on social websites such as YouTube through his uploaded videos and is quite active on Twitter and Facebook as well. When interviewed he says acting is his passion as well as addiction. Sayak made his start at a very young age. His first assignment was the movie ’Bhooter Bhabishyat’ in 2012. It was a Bengali movie, by Anik Dutta. It was a comedy movie and Sayak was the second unit director for the movie. He was a DGA trainee in the department. His first movie worked quite well in the theaters.

As an Actor his first movie was ‘Bawáli Unlimited’ which was again a Bengali movie by Sujit Mondal. It released in the year 2012. The actor has seen a talented youth and is praised for his efforts. In the same year, he enacted in the movie ‘Paglu 2’ and essayed the role of Dev’s(lead) friend. It was a small-budget romantic movie. After his debut performance and cameo roles, he became a recognized personality in the east. His first Hindi movie was ‘The Light: Swami Vivekanand’ in 2013.

The movie was based on the life of great social reformer Swami Vivekanand. This educational film gave a message which was praised well too. Sayak later took to television and started acting in daily soaps in Bengali. He acts in the show ‘Aaj Aari Kal Bhab’ aired on Star Jalsha. He plays the character, Subhro Mitra. He has also been a part of the show ‘Hoyto Tomari Jonyo’ and ‘Sadhak Bamakhyapa’ on Colors Bangla. He played Atanu Lahiri and Ram Goti respectively. On Zee Bangla, he played the character Ranga da in the serial ‘Boyei Galo’. Sayak has been the young face for the promotional photo shoots of some brands too. He has enacted in short films and documentaries as well. Sayak’s upcoming movie is ‘Tahole Ki Vhut?’ He is also seen in the new series on colors Bangla and ETV Jalsha.

Mayank Tandon was a Hindi television actor who was associated with few television serials and shows. Although he was associated with television industry in the early 2000’s, he was roped in to play adult son in many serials. His second TV serial was “Karishma Kaa Karishma’. The show premiered on January 2003 on and ended in February 2004. The show was produced by Sunil Doshi. The show was the remake of an American sitcom ‘Small Wonder’. In this Hindi serial, Mayank played the role of the elder son of actor Sanjeev Seth and Eva Grover. Sanjiv Seth played the role of the scientist in the TV drama. The show was telecast on Star Plus channel. In this show, he played the character which belonged to his age group. ‘Karishma Kaa Karishma’ was a maiden venture of Alliance Media & Entertainment which depicts the tale of an educated Punjabi family. The screenplay was done by three writers namely Mukesh Ramani, Mukesh Agarwal and Rajiv Agarwal. In addition, it is stated that the first few episodes were directed by many different directors which include the name of Rahul Kapoor and Lilliput even. It may also be noted that when Karishma Kaa Karishma was aired on Star Plus, Mayank Tandon, was not a new face on television. He had earlier acted in few TV serials like Kittie Party, Hubahu, and Khushiyaan. In the year 2002, there was a TV serial named 'Hubahu' in which Mayank played a pivotal role. In another series ‘Khushiyaan’ which was telecast on Doordarshan, the actor Mayank had a brief role.


Shafi Inamdar

He was the top most actors in the Bollywood who has started his career from serials and later in the film. Shafi Inamdar was born on 23 October 1945 and died on 13 March 1996. He married to actress Bhakti Brave, who died in the road accident. His career had started with the movie “Vijeta and Ardh Satya”. Shafi had done many of the TV serials named as “Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi”. He had played many roles in the movies also. He was seen in the role of Inspector in “Aaj Ki Awaz” and as a villain in the movie “Awam”. Also seen as a friend’s role in movie “Anokha Rishta”, “Amrit” and “Nazrana”. Shafi Inamdar had completed his education from Mumbai. In 1958, he completed his schooling and in 1963 he completed his graduation in B.Sc from the K.C College. He had a great interest in drama, so he started his professional career as an actor. Due to his keen interest in acting Shafi had played more than 30 acts in different languages. He acted in English, Marathi, Gujarati and Hindi languages from 1973 till 1978. The famous TV serial “Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi” was one of the most comedy serials in which Shafi has played the lead role of a character named as Ranjeet. He has done many other serials like “Adha Sach Aadha Jooth”, “Teri Bhi Chup Meri Bhi Chup”. He got fame from the movie “Krantiveer” in which he played the role of TV anchor in 1994. In 1996, he died of Heart attack. Shafi has made the space in many hearts by his acting skills. He is still remembered by his role and characters which he played very blissfully.
