Sabyasachi Chakrabarty Hindi Actor

Sabyasachi Chakrabarty is a veteran film actor and a proficient theatre artist. Sabyasachi is a Bengali and is also known by the name Benu. He was born in the year 1956, in Kolkata in a conventional Bengali family. He was called by the name Benu affectionately by his parents. Chakrabarty completed his schooling in the year 1975 from Andrew Higher Secondary School, situated in Selimpur in Kolkata. He then moved to New Delhi and joined the University of Delhi. He graduated from this college with a Bachelors degree in Science. This prolific star of West Bengal also loves being involved with photography. His love for nature and animals is equivalent to his passion for acting. He is an avid photographer of the wildlife and has been clicking pictures for a long time. In 1983, Benu became an active member of the Charbak theater group and enhanced his acting skills. He entered the acting profession through the television medium. He got his first chance to appear on the small screen with the drama Tero Parbon. This soap was telecasted on Kolkata Doordarshan Channel in the year 1987, and Sabyasachi played the lead role in it. In this soap, he played the character named Gora for which he was widely appreciated. He shot to extreme fame through this one serial and became a household name in Bengal.

He appeared for the first time on the silver screen in the year 1992 in the movie Antardhan, directed by . After this flick, he went back to act and direct in television. He has directed many serials, especially for children, predominantly in the Bengali language. He is famous for his work as the character named Feluda in the film Joto Kando Kathmandute that was released in the 1990s.
