Kiran Kumar

Kiran Kumar is an Indian Bollywood actor who has worked in many films and Television serials. He mainly works in Hindi, Gujarati and Rajasthani movies. He was born to the actor Jeevan. His other name is Kiran Dhar. By birth, he is a Kashmiri. Kiran attended Daly College, a boarding school in Indore. Later he got enrolled in R. D. National College in Bandra, Mumbai. He also attended Film and Television Institute of India (FTTI) in Pune. In FTII, he is known as ‘Dipak Dar.’ Kiran is very passionate towards acting from childhood.

He got influenced by his father to join the acting field as his father is in the same profession. Bhushan Jeevan is his sibling. He got married to a Gujarati film actress Sushma Verma, and they have two children. His daughter name is Srishti and son name is Shaurya. Shaurya is in the process to join acting field; he works with David Dhawan and Imtiaz Ali. Srishti is a mass media Graduate and helps her mother to run their business. His first film is Love in Shimla got released in the year 1960. In the year 1971, Kiran’s movie ‘Do Boond Pani’ came into the box office and it was a big hit in the silver screen.

Later, he acted in several Hindi films as a leading actor but his movies didn’t work in the box office. Other major films of Kumar are Jangal Mein Mangal, Tezaab, Kala Bazar, Thanedaar, Bol Radha Bol, Game, Platform, Police Wala, Eena Meena Deeka, Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kiya, Aap Mujhe Ache Lagne Lage, Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Oops, Bobby Jasoos, Brothers and many more. Kiran has jumped from big screen to TV in the year 1992. His first television serial was Prem Kishan. Later he worked on many other television serials such as Papa, Karan: The Detective, Waaris, Aur Phir Ek Din, Agneepath and many more. He has done many negative roles and also got famous for this role. Apart from doing acting in movies and TV series, he has also done social awareness advertisements.

He has involved in many cancer awareness projects and children right’s project. As Kiran is a follower of Sai Baba, he owns a production house that resemblance the name of Sai. His production house name is Sainama visions. Recently, the International Film and Television Club of the Asian Academy of Film & Television has been honored him the life membership of the Academy. Kiran has won many accolades including a Filmfare award. He is one of the brilliant and versatile actors in the Bollywood industry.
