Abir Chatterjee made his huge name as a popular Bengali TV and film actor, and went on to top the list of Calcutta Times Most Desirable Men of 2014. Born on November 18, 1980, in Kolkata, West Bengal, Abir is the son of theater personalities Phalguni and Rumki Chatterjee.
He started his career with Bengali television, acting in serials like Proloy Asche, Shomoy, Credit Card, Hotath Megh, My Sweet Valentine. After carving a distinct segment for himself, he made his debut in Bengali cinema, as a lead in the film Cross Connection (2009). He became immensely popular after the success of the film, Abir went on to star in major hit films like
Byomkesh Bakshi (2010), Prem By Chance (2010) and Bedroom (2012) He made his Bollywood debut with Kahaani (2012), which was a major blockbuster hit.

Apart from acting, he is fond of cricket and football and Brian Lara is his favorite cricketer. He completed his Bachelor’s degree from Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration in Calcutta and MBA in finance from ICFAI Business School. He also worked with INDIABULLS Company for tenure of seven months.
Abir got married to Nandini Chatterjee in 2007. They met while pursuing MBA from ICFAI. Abir Chatterjee is a husband; a lady will flip her friends jealous with. He never fails to live up to his name and they together are a parent of an adorable baby, Mayurakshi whom Abir calls as a little bundle of stress buster. He has several offers from Bollywood; however, at the instant he is not interested in changing the base from Kolkata to Mumbai.
