Arun Bhatt was born on 26th September 1934. Arun’s father,
, was a director and the founder of Prakash Pictures. Arun started off his career as an assistant director to his father. He assisted his dad in films, including Goonj Uthi Shehnai, Hariyali Aur Rasta, Patrani and Himalay Ki Godmein. He is the writer as well as the assistant director of Himalay Ki Godmein. However, Arun was not credited as the writer of the film in the title cards. Later he wrote the script for “Banphool.” Arun had also directed documentary films and short films. In 1971 he founded Vijay Films International along with Kishore Vyas.
Arun made his debut as a director with the film, Vardaan featuring
in 1974. In 1976, he directed Verno Vaaras, a Gujarati movie. Besides, directing it, he produced the film. He produced “Heera Aur Patthar” with ,
, and Asrani and the movie directed by his dad, Vijay Bhatt. Paaras Padamani, Jawani Zindabad,
and Lakhtar Ni Laadi Ne Vilaayat No Var are some of his directorial ventures. Rangaai Jaane Rangma was his last feature film. But, before finishing the film, Arun bid a bye to the world and breathed his last on 17th April 2001.
